Y11 Consumato Derby Win
Y12 Risorgimento Derby Place
Dashing in The Firelight has some up and downs during her career. She had the typical 2 year old season winning only one race during that year but, she placed in 4 races and showed in 3 races. She held her head high in the Spring Cup and the Green Cup coming in 2nd in both those races. She was only at the start of her career then.
During her 3 year old season is when she hit downward only winning the Oscarianna Stakes. While she did nothing else to impress during her 3 year old season she still had that one win.
As a four year old she managed to lift off her career with great surprise. She managed to pick up 8 wins during that time winning the Grade Four Dirt at the Y10 Stable Face Off, Summer Cup Grade Four Dirt, Seaspray Cup Grade Three Dirt, and Do Your Best Stakes within those 8 wins. She also managed to place 6 times one of those placing in the Breeders Cup Marathon. Fire defended her title and she was proven that she was a mare to beat during this year.
As a Five year old she brought promise winning 4 more races during that year two of those wins were the Consumato Derby and The Palm Tree Paradise Invitational*. She officially became a Grade 1 mare during this time and once again she placed in the Breeders Cup Marathon.
Her final year as a 6 year old she raced in the Risorgimento Derby last year. While that was her last race she perfectly made her last race one to remember. She retired to start her broodmare career.

Dashing in The Firelight has certainly started out slow but, she certainly dominated the tracks her last two years of her racing career. She never gave up her title as a Grade 1 mare. I think she should be considered for this category because of her accomplishments in her career.
